Terms of Service

1. The service

Veritas is an email verification service that processes email addresses through a 4-layer pipeline including format checks, SMTP handshakes, catch-all detection, and real email probing. Results are returned with a status and confidence score.

Veritas is a business tool. It is intended for use by outbound sales teams, agencies, and developers who need to verify email lists compiled for legitimate business outreach.

2. Your data responsibilities

By submitting email addresses to Veritas, you represent and warrant that:

• You have a lawful basis under applicable data protection law to process those email addresses.
• The addresses were collected through legitimate means and in compliance with applicable law, including UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and any other relevant regulations.
• You will not use Veritas to process personal data obtained unlawfully, through scraping without consent, or in violation of any platform's terms of service.
• You will use verification results only for lawful business outreach and not for spam, harassment, or any unlawful purpose.

3. Credits and pricing

Veritas operates on a pay-as-you-go credit model. The current pricing is:

• Fresh verification: £0.005 per email.
• Cached result (verified within 30 days): £0.003 per email.
• Catch-all verified: +£0.25 per email, charged only when the address is successfully resolved.
• Unresolvable addresses (timeout, port blocked): £0.00 — not charged.
• 100 free credits on signup.

4. Billing and refunds

Credits are deducted from your balance as verification jobs are processed. You will be shown a cost estimate before committing to a job. Credits are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

Credits do not expire. You may top up your balance at any time via the dashboard using Stripe.

Every job produces a full itemised receipt showing base charges, catch-all crack charges, and unresolvable counts. If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, contact us at contact@hyperlogicsolutions.co.uk within 30 days.

5. Catch-all verified addresses

For catch-all domains, Veritas performs additional verification to determine whether the mailbox exists. Addresses that pass this verification are exported separately with a 97% confidence rating.

This output is provided as a best-effort result. A 97% confidence rating means there is a small residual risk that some addresses may not be deliverable. We do not guarantee deliverability of any address in any output.

6. API usage

API access is available to all registered users. Your API key is personal to your account — do not share it. You are responsible for all usage under your API key.

Rate limits apply as documented in the API reference. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend API access for accounts that exceed limits or use the API in a manner that degrades service for other users.

7. Service availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. We are not liable for losses arising from service interruptions.

Verification results depend on the availability and behaviour of third-party mail servers. Some addresses may return Unknown status due to timeouts or blocked ports — these are not charged.

8. Prohibited use

In addition to the prohibitions in the FugatiAI Terms of Service, you must not use Veritas to:

• Verify email addresses for the purpose of sending unsolicited commercial email (spam).
• Build or enrich databases of personal data for sale or unauthorised distribution.
• Circumvent or probe mail server security in a manner that constitutes unauthorised access.
• Submit lists containing sensitive personal data categories as defined under UK GDPR.

9. Accuracy disclaimer

Veritas provides verification results based on signals available at the time of verification. Email infrastructure changes constantly — a valid result today does not guarantee the address will remain valid indefinitely.

Confidence scores are probabilistic assessments, not guarantees. We are not liable for bounces, deliverability issues, or sender reputation damage arising from use of Veritas results.
